Training
In order to operate a forklift truck at your workplace, you need documented theoretical and practical knowledge as well as an operating permit issued by your employer. Our courses comply with the TPLP10 forklift curriculum and are led by certified and experienced instructors. The aim of the course is to improve skills, increase safety, improve efficiency and reduce costs.
There are 18 different types of forklifts in four different categories, which are divided as follows according to TLP10:
Forklift licence, Category A
- Low-lift picker (the operator is lifted ≤ 1.2 m)
2. Stacker with or without platform
3. Low-lift ride-on forklift (standing or sitting) (Lifting height ≤ 0.2 m)
4. Low-lifter with or without platform (Lifting height ≤ 0.2 m)
Forklift licence, Category B
- Counter-balance forklift
2. High-lift ride-on forklift (standing or sitting)
3. Reach truck
4. High-lift picker (Lifting height above 1.2 m)
5. Narrow aisle forklift
6. Four-way forklift
Forklift licence, Category C
- Wheel loader
3a. Container stacker
3b. Timber stacker
4. Side loader
5. Straddle truck
7. Telescopic loader
Forklift licence, Category D
- Tow/flatbed forklift

For individuals working in
The course is aimed at anyone who uses forklifts or who, in their role as a supervisor, comes into contact with forklifts in their work.
Certificates/Authorisation
Our forklift courses comply with industry guidelines and the TLP10 curriculum. Forklift licences are issued through TYA once the theoretical and practical tests have been passed.
Prior knowledge requirements
The length of the course varies between 2-5 days depending on driving experience, previous experience and capacity to learn. This must be stated when you book onto the course. If you are unsure, call us directly and we will ascertain your prior knowledge.
Conditions
Registration is binding and the billing of course fees takes place within two weeks following registration. If you need to cancel your participation in the course, we have to receive the cancellation seven working days prior to the start of the course.
In the event there are insufficient registered participants or in case of some other valid reason, such as the course leader becoming ill, we will get back to you with alternative course dates. If you cannot find a suitable date and you are a group of around ten people, we are happy to consider an alternative arrangement specifically for you.
